Boeing 767-300ER
Popular Long-Haul Airliner
Perhaps one of the most widely-used long range airliners in the world is the Boeing 767. This aircraft was revolutionary when it first rolled off of production lines: it is relatively quiet, fast, has quite a long range, and can hold three times as many passengers as a smaller medium-ranged airliner. Its fuel efficiency is another reason many airlines use this aircraft for long hauls-- in fact, it only takes 60 gallons per passenger for a 767 to fly from New York to London. It would take an economy car that much fuel to go half the distance.
American Flight Airways utilizes Boeing 767 on all category 4 routes. It's the favorite for Atlantic crossings.
