Canadair Jet 200

Today's Standard of Regional Jets

Bombardier has been leading the way in the regional jet industry for over a decade, thanks to the Canadair Regional Jet series of airliners. These aircraft were developed from the Canadair Challenger series of business jet, but unlike the Challenger, they are made in several variations. By far the most used variation of CRJ is the -200. The CRJ 200 has been chosen by AFA because of the balance between range, payload, and speed. Nearly all major airlines use at least one variation of the CRJ in their regional fleets.

American Flight Airways utilizes the CRJ on Category 2 routes.

Cruise Speed: .78 mach
Service Ceiling: 37,000 feet
Range: 1,895 miles
Rate of Climb: ~1800 ft/min
Seating: Up to 50
Crew: Two
