Welcome to the Detroit Hub at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport! Metro Airport serves as the world headquarters of American Flight Airways operations. Flights to destinations in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia originate from the Detroit Hub. AFA flights originate out of the Edward H. McNamara Terminal in concourses A, B, and C at Metro. Wayne County's Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) was ranked as the world's 5th busiest airport in terms of operations (landings and takeoffs), and 14th in the world in terms of passengers. DTW serves AFA well and continues to expand its operations.

Help With timing
Posted by Troy Running on July 30, 2010 at 5:32 PM MDT

Hey guys, we could still use some help with timing. There will be some bonus hours for pilots who help with this. All you need to do is fly the flight. We need you to use a vatsim or RW route, use real world wheather, Time your flight from gate to gate and send us the times. When you file it, file it under special/fly-in fligt.

here are the routes still available for timing. If you would like to reserve one head on over to the forums or email me at MT_trout_bum@yahoo.com with your request. Thanks everyone!

Detroit Needs Your Help!!!
Posted by Troy Running on July 18, 2010 at 9:57 PM MDT

After reading a post made by Tom saying that we are lacking in cat. 2 flights I decided to take a look at our cat. 2 flights and I agree, they are lacking. This may cause a problem for our new pilots starting to fly ebb it comes to choosing a flight. We are also going to work on our cat. 4 fleet as it is also lacking. Two other areas I wish to add a few flights to are cat. 1 and 5. We have quite a few cat. 3 and we may change some to cat. 2 and 3 or cat. 3 and 4. Our first focus will be on the cat. 2 because that is the area newest pilots will be flying in. Tom will be helping us with that and we will continue to extend the KMSP minihub with a few new flight headed to Wyoming, Montana, north and south Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and maybe Illinois.

We will keep you updated as this progresses as we still need to chose the flights.

Thanks
